What is u shape mosi2 heating element?

U-shaped MoSi₂ heating elements are high-temperature heating components named after their U shape. They are usually installed vertically with the U‑bend downward, consisting of two cold ends (twice the   of the hot section) and a welded U‑shaped hot zone. The cold ends are aluminum‑metallized for low‑resistance electrical connection.

Available in 1700℃ and 1850℃ grades, these elements are made of dense MoSi₂ cermet material. They form a self‑renewing protective oxide layer at high temperatures for excellent oxidation resistance, and show slight ductility at around 1200℃.
